Bio

Wales’ Darren Morgan is a two-time ranking event finalist who reached a career-high world ranking of number 8 during the 1994/5 season. He is also a former World Seniors champion, having defeated Steve Davis 2-1 to lift the crown in 2011.

A professional since 1998, Morgan enjoyed an 18-year career at the highest level of the sport, as well as having competed regularly in amateur competitions with distinction following his tour relegation in 2006.

Notable achievements include victory at the 1996 Irish Masters, as well as final appearances at the 1992 Welsh Open and 1993 Asian Open ranking events.

His best performance at the World Championship came in 1994, as he defeated Mark King, Willie Thorne and John Parrott to reach the semi-finals, losing 16-9 to Jimmy White.

He as also a three-time Welsh amateur champion, with an incredible 32 years separating his first (1987) and most recent (2019) victories.
