World Seniors Snooker (WSS) has today announced a major increase to the prize fund for the 2026 Jenningsbet World Seniors Snooker Championship.
Players will compete for a total prize fund of £80,000 this May, up from £50,000 last year, with the winner set to receive £30,000 – the largest prize in the history of the WSS Tour.
The flagship event will take place at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield on 6-10 May and will feature the biggest ever line-up with 24 players – including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Williams, Jimmy White and many more!

Jason Francis, Chairman of WSS, said: “Follow last year’s World Seniors Snooker Championship, we promised both the fans and players that we would continue to grow the event and we are delivering on that promise with an expanded field and increased prize fund.”
“More than 4,000 tickets have already been sold and we are continuing our broadcast partnership with Channel 5 in the UK, with international coverage to be announced soon. The presence of players like Ronnie O’Sullivan and Mark Williams reflects their belief in what we are building. Seniors snooker is one big family and everyone is welcome.”
