Gerard Greene defeated Alfie Burden 4-3 to win the fourth World Seniors Tour event of the season at The Crucible Club in Reading, England.
A strong field of 49 cueists embarked on the Berkshire venue including former World Seniors Snooker Championship winners Burden and Aaron Canavan, as well as this season’s event winners Dharminder Lilly and Greene.

Greene had won the previous event and made short work of his opening round encounter against Matthew Day to secure a 4-0 success, before coming through back-to-back deciding frames against Rory McLeod and Daniel Ward to reach the semi-finals stage.
Breaks of 51, 52 and 64 helped the former ranking event finalist to a comfortable 4-1 semi-final win against Matthew Ford to set up a title match contest with fellow former professional Burden.
Burden, the reigning World Seniors Snooker champion, had been in outstanding form across the weekend – dropping just two frames en route to the final and firing in a top break of 140 in his semi-final success against Wayne Townsend.

A high-quality final was opened with a contribution of 75 from Greene, before Burden moved 2-1 ahead with a break of 101 – his fourth century of the event.
Burden moved within one of victory by taking the fourth but Greene refused to go down without a fight and rallied to force a decider which he took with a break of 63 to earn his second successive World Seniors Tour title.
Wayne Martin beat John Hunter 2-0 to win the first Super Seniors title of his career on Sunday.
The 55-year-old came through a field of 19 players aged 55 and over to secure his maiden success at The Crucible Club in Reading, England.
Competing in the event for the first time, Martin dropped just a single frame en route to the title match as he downed Dean Powell (2-0), David Moritz (2-1) and Neil Carroll (2-0).
Current Super Seniors number one Hunter was the opponent in the final but he proved to be no match for Martin on this occasion, as he completed a 2-0 success with an impressive 90 break to take home the title.
