The draw for the 2025 JenningsBet British Seniors Snooker Open to be staged at Vaillant Live in Derby on 26-28 December will take place tomorrow at 11:00 BST.

It will be shown live on the World Seniors Snooker (WSS) social media channels and features two former world champions and the reigning World Seniors Snooker Championship winner among a star-studded line-up.

Joe Johnson, champion of the world in 1986, will be on hand to held conduct the draw.

Alfie Burden, who lifted the flagship title at the iconic Crucible Theatre in May, will be the top seed and is joined in pot one by former world champions Ken Doherty and Stuart Bingham as well as former UK Championship and Masters winner Matthew Stevens.

They will be drawn to face the competitors in pot two, which is headlined by four-time World Seniors Snooker champion Jimmy White and also includes Anthony Hamilton, Dominic Dale and Joe Perry.

The format for the event has also now been confirmed as follows:

  • Quarter-Finals: Best of 7 Frames
  • Semi-Finals: Best of 9 Frames
  • Final: Best of 13 Frames

In an exciting and unique twist, should any match in the event go the distance then the deciding frame will be replaced by a respotted black.
