2022 World Seniors Champion
42 (2000/01)
Lee Walker came from 4-2 down to defeat Jimmy White 5-4 in the final of the 2022 World Seniors Championship at the Crucible Theatre.
Walker stormed into the quarter-finals without dropping a frame at snooker’s most iconic venue, whitewashing both Tony Knowles and Stephen Hendry, before further victories over Ken Doherty and David Lilley saw him book his place in the final.
Despite trailing 3-1 and 4-2 in the best-of-nine frame final, Walker held his nerve to get over the line with a break of 83 in the decider to secure the biggest win of his career.
Walker has had a number of spells on the World Snooker Tour since first turning professional in 1994 and reached the quarter-finals of the 1997 World Championship with victories over Dave Harold and Alan McManus.
The Welshman is a qualified WPBSA coach and works alongside three-times world champion Mark Williams.
