The ninth and final ‘Race to the Crucible’ series takes place on 5-6 April at The Crucible Club in Reading, England.

A total of 36 cueists from five countries will compete in the event which is the last of nine to be staged. The new series offers qualification for the World Seniors Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre next May.

The top two ranked players at the conclusion of the series will earn places at the World Seniors Snooker Championship, while those who finish between third and tenth will qualify for the ‘Top 16 Shootout’ – where a further place in Sheffield will be on offer.

Back-to-back event winner Aaron Canavan, who won the World Seniors Snooker Championship in 2018, features in the line-up alongside fellow previous event winners Andrew Norman, Alfie Burden, Dharminder Lily and Rory McLeod.

Wayne Townsend and Canavan currently sit in the automatic qualification places on the ‘Race to the Crucible’ ranking list, while Canavan and Andrew Norman lead the line in the two-year official world rankings – which also offers two automatic places at the Crucible Theatre, but it remains all to play for this weekend in Reading.
